The Laser design became popular and unseated the Pitts because it works!  Higher roll rate than factory S-1s or S-2s and more vertical.  Its ability to cap off and fly away clean at lower speeds and how quickly it regains energy makes it easier to manage in the box.   Its lines in the box outshine the Pitts and even the One Design.

They say the proof is in the pudding.  After a year of not flying, only 5 hours of test flying and less than an hour of actual practice time, the Laser helped me win all three flights and overall at Sebring in Sportsman.

 

Overall this is a low maintenance, economical, fun to fly airplane that can easily put you in the winners circle through Advance and even Unlimited!
